About Habersham County Farm Bureau
Farm Bureau has a rich history in Georgia. The organization of Georgia Farm Bureau began in 1937. Started by farmers looking for representation and an organization that could be their voice in the legislative arena, Farm Bureau strives to remain true to the organizational purpose of representing Georgia agriculture.
To better serve members, Farm Bureau has added many member services and has experienced tremendous growth becoming the largest general farm organization in Georgia. Each county in Georgia has a county Farm Bureau that is managed by a local board of directors. The county officers and directors are all volunteers who selflessly give of their time and talents to advance their local Farm Bureau. These volunteers willingly accept the task of ensuring the county’s resources are utilized effectively.
The grassroots policy development process and county programs assure members of constant contact and input into the programs and activities of Georgia Farm Bureau. Members determine the future of the organization and are encouraged to get to know local Farm Bureau leadership and become involved in the activities offered by a local Farm Bureau Office.
